Elements from nature have shown to have a positive impact on well-being among persons with dementia. Sitting outside and enjoying a nice drink can give associations to that vacation feeling. Create a nice moment by asking the person to accompany you for a drink outside. Depending on the weather and season, adjust clothes and what to drink; enjoy a nice fall evening with a cup of cocoa and a blanket or a warm summer day with lemonade.
Appearance is part of who everyone is, and everyone has their own grooming routine. As a part of the normal routine, it is beneficial to encourage the person with dementia to do as much as they can by themselves by guiding and assisting them. Sometimes, however, imitating a hair salon
